It applies to our website, our booking and quote tools, and any contact you have with us by phone, email or text.
02What we collect
We only collect the personal information we need to quote, book and carry out your cleans.
- Contact details — your name, email and phone number, which you give us.
- Property details — your address, type of home, number and size of windows and access notes. You give us these, and your cleaner may add notes on the day.
- Booking details — dates, services, your plan, and any Touch-Up or guarantee requests.
- Payment details — invoices and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us.
- Communications — emails, texts and call notes, when you contact us.
- Photos — before-and-after photos of your windows, taken by your cleaner.
- Website data — your IP address, device, browser and the pages you visit, collected automatically through cookies and similar tools.
If someone books on your behalf, such as a property manager, we collect your details from them. We expect them to tell you.
03How we use it
We use your information to provide our services and run our business, and for nothing unrelated without your permission.
- Calculate your quote and manage your bookings and service plan
- Send booking confirmations, reminders and updates
- Give your cleaner the details they need to do the job
- Handle Touch-Up Cleans, guarantee requests and complaints
- Invoice you and keep accounting and tax records
- Improve our website, quote tool and advertising
- Send you offers or news, only if you've agreed to receive them
- Meet our legal obligations
04Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We only share it where needed to provide our services.
- Our cleaners: independent contractors who carry out your clean. They receive only your name, address, contact number, booking details and access notes.
- Service providers: companies that run our website, booking system, email, payments, accounting and advertising. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Legal requirements: government agencies or courts, where the law requires it.
Storage outside New Zealand
Some of our service providers store information overseas, including in the United States. Before using them, we take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.
05Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar tools to work properly, understand how visitors use it and measure our advertising.
- Google Ads conversion tracking (Google) — measures which ads lead to quotes and bookings.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) — shows how visitors move through our pages so we can improve them.
These tools may collect your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you visit. This data is stored on the providers' servers, mainly in the United States.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, though some parts of the site may then stop working.
06Marketing messages
We only send you offers, reminders about new services or news by email or text if you've agreed to receive them, as required by the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.
Every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also opt out at any time by contacting us. Booking confirmations, reminders and invoices are part of our service and are sent regardless.
07Security and how long we keep it
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including secure systems with restricted access.
- Our cleaners only see the details of the jobs they are assigned.
- We keep invoices and payment records for 7 years, as New Zealand tax law requires.
- We keep other information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, then delete or anonymise it.
- If a privacy breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as soon as practicable.
08Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it.
- Email care@feelgoodcleaning.co.nz with your request. We may need to confirm your identity first.
- We'll respond within 20 working days, as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.
- If we don't agree to a correction, you can ask us to attach a statement of the correction you asked for.
- You can also ask us to delete your information. We'll do so unless we need to keep it by law.
09Complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on our website, with the date it was last updated.
